Chicago, IL — The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago has welcomed plastic surgeon Lorri Cobbins, MD to the practice, according to the practice’s founder and Chicago plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Braithwaite. Dr. Cobbins is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and says she is excited to join the practice and looks forward to the opportunity to connect with new patients as she helps them achieve the aesthetic outcomes and confidence in their appearance they desire: “Seeing patients is absolutely what I’m looking forward to the most, along with the ability to provide further plastic surgery expertise to our current and new patients. In addition to a great location, the beautiful décor and warm office atmosphere are also added benefits to being part of The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago.”
At the Chicago plastic surgery practice, Dr. Braithwaite specializes in a range of cosmetic enhancement procedures, and says he believes Dr. Cobbins’ pursuit of excellence in breast surgery and body contouring, as well as her special expertise in facial surgery, will further enhance the practice’s ability to provide patients with the safest and most effective treatment. Dr. Cobbins earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University, where she graduated with a distinction in Research. She then completed a five-year residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and then a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Of Louisville Medical Center.
Dr. Cobbins is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and an award-winning researcher and instructor, having been recognized with the John W. Price award for her work in undergraduate instruction at the University of Louisville, School of Medicine. She says maintaining the highest standards of ethics and patient care are extremely important to her, which is why joining The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago was an easy decision: “It was an easy decision because mine and Dr. Braithwaite’s practice principles and medical values are almost mirror images of each other. We also share a very strong work ethic and approach to patient care, which in turn leads to an excellent experience for any patient who comes to our practice.”
According to Dr. Braithwaite, the decision to pursue Dr. Cobbins and her expertise in plastic and reconstructive procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction, and rhinoplasty, was an easy one as well. “I decided to add Dr. Cobbins to the practice because she is a terrific clinician and we share nearly identical practice ideologies. For instance, we both feel strongly about treating our patients the way we would want our loved ones cared for. We give patients our utmost at all times, both in and out of the operating room. We both also value patients’ time and do not feel it is acceptable to keep people waiting in our reception area for more than a few minutes, at any time of the day. From an aesthetic point of view, we agree that subtle, powerful improvements are better than overdone results. And finally, Dr. Cobbins and I keep patient safety at the forefront of our treatment strategies.”
